What is Photoshop anyway?
Photoshop is a graphics editor created by Adobe. It was originally designed to edit images for paper-based printing. Its latest version, Phototshop CS3, can do a lot more that that. It is also the current leader for commercial image editing.
What are layers?
Layers are simply one image on top of another. Let me explain. Suppose you have three pieces of paper, one red, one green, and one yellow; one on top of the other. The red piece of paper is on the bottom, which would be your background. The green and yellow pieces are your two layers. So now you have a background layer and two separate layers.
I have heard the term "cropping". What does that mean?
Cropping is "The elimination of unwanted details in a picture by removing portions on the edges of the picture." -Answers.com
What in the world is a "gradient"?
Gradient is the process in which you can blend colors together. Gradients can be used for making colorful backgrounds or to simulate the effect of 3D with shading.
What is the opacity of the image?
The opacity controls whether the image is transparent or totally visible. If the opacity is set to 100, then the image is totally visible. Whereas if the opacity was set to 0, then the image would be transparent.
Those are just some of the questions I found. I will update this post when I find more.
